Das Interesse des Opfers wird dagegen ins Zivilrecht verbannt und in der juristischen Praxis und Lehre (zumeist) fein säuberlich von der strafrechtlichen Verantwortlichkeit getrennt. Das Adhäsionsverfahren stellt eine ungeliebte Verbindung dieser dogmatisch getrennten Rechtsgebiete dar, welche einer Vielzahl von Jurastudenten in der juristischen Ausbildung unbekannt bleibt und bisweilen auch von einem Großteil der Strafrichter gerne gemieden wird.
